The new SHL picture with the coaches is criticized because of the detail

The traditional coach image that is released in connection with the SHL’s kick-off meeting has been heavily criticized.
There is a detail in each team’s shirt that people are very upset about.
“The worst picture in the world,” writes one person on SHL’s official Instagram.

On Saturday, September 21, the SHL starts again! The basic game begins with a full round immediately. Newcomer Brynäs – who knocked out Oskarshamn in the qualifiers – will face Linköping on the road. Last year’s champions Skellefteå play away against Malmö. In addition, the odds favorite Färjestad gets the chance at home against Rögle. Get ready for a hockey party all the way until May!

The picture quickly received criticism

On Tuesday, all the coaches from the 14 clubs met as usual at a joint introductory meeting before the new season. The press also had the chance to get to know both coaches and some players at the Clarion Hotel Stockholm in Skanstull.

After the meeting, all 14 coaches gathered in a picture with this year’s SHL coaches. Shortly afterwards, SHL published the picture on its official Instagram account. The picture quickly received criticism from people who thought it was boring and poorly arranged.

“Could have chosen a better place to take the picture. Very bad!”, writes one person.
“Ha ha! World’s worst picture. Is it the materials at the back?”, comments another.
“What a dark and boring picture, it’s a shame that not all the coaches’ respective teams are visible,” writes a third.
“It feels a bit disrespectful that some coaches barely get a seat,” says a fourth.

The detail that stands out

Then there are those who really react strongly to the respective team’s shirt sponsors and that they are so clearly visible on the match shirts. The detail really stirs up emotions – most agree that all the advertising logos make the jerseys much uglier.

“A Brynästräya and 13 advertising columns,” someone writes.
“Remove the advertising on the shirts,” writes another.
“Brynäs is in a class of its own!”, comments a third.
“Hell, the advertising they’re printing is starting to look like the shirts in Finland,” writes a fourth.

It is undeniably not popular to add too large and too eye-catching advertising logos on the shirts. The audience agrees with that.
