It was in front of enthusiastic activists that this meeting was held under the presidency of Joseph Badiabio, 70 years old, new president and successor to the founder of the party. It was an opportunity to install a new political bureau of 46 members, but also a National Council and a General Secretariat. These bodies have defined a program of seven priority actions to be carried out during the year 2024.

These include, among other things, the popularization of the texts of the last congress or the launch of a major membership campaign to recruit new activists. Joseph Badabio called on his comrades to get to work: “ Rest assured that each of us must give back, each of us must get to work, according to our attributions. I will personally see to it. Otherwise it’s not worth it “, he said.

Message of appeasement »

Faced with the dissensions that persist in the UDH-Yuki, Joseph Badiabio launched a call for unity: “ We have not stopped asking those who seem to be taking off to join us so that we can lead (together) the fight left by Guy-Brice Perfect Kolélas. So, basically what we need to remember is the message of appeasement, reunification and bringing together all the daughters and sons of the UDH-Yuki “, did he declare.

Within the UDH-Yuki, strong dissensions have emerged since the death of its main leader in 2021.
