The new pictures of Frida Karlsson testify to a comeback

In October, it sounded like Frida Karlsson would not be able to compete in anything this year.
Now new pictures have emerged of her skiing on ice again.
– She had a great time in Spain. It was a stroke of luck, says personal trainer Per Nilsson to Expressen.

After the announcement that Frida Karlsson25, suffered a foot injury, she was forced to postpone her pre-season training. She did not accompany her national team mates to the high-altitude camp in Italy, but instead traveled by herself to Tenerife, where she cycled for two weeks.

Frida Karlsson can compete again

Obviously, the rehab training has gone very well for Frida. The first report stated that there might not be any competition before the turn of the year. Now it suddenly seems quite realistic that she will appear in the domestic premiere in Bruksvallarna this weekend. Pictures have been published on social media where she can be seen skiing with her national team colleague Marcus Grate.
– Everything about the injury has progressed. She had a great time in Spain. It was a stroke of luck. Now they have test days in Bruksvallarna with the dikes where they try some material. So it suits Frida perfectly, says her personal trainer Per Nilsson to Expressen.

Yes, it seems that the Sollefteå girl is heading for a record-breaking comeback. In that case, it would surprise everyone because the early announcements sounded completely different. Nothing has been decided yet, but if things continue to feel good for Frida, she might make a start this weekend.
– We take it step by step. We’re not taking any chances now. And in that case we will make a decision about starting this weekend closer to the competitions. It all depends on how she feels after testing on snow. It has worked very well with the training in Spain at the end, but snow is something different, says Nilsson.

Time for a premiere in Bruksvallarna

On Friday, it’s time for the sprint in Bruksvallarna. On Saturday there is a distance race and on Sunday freestyle. Next week, the international season begins in Finnish Ruka.
– It is difficult to make a plan when you have an injury, you have to be both flexible and humble. But my hope is to run one of the races in “Bruks”, she says to Tidningen Ångermanland.
– We are aiming for that anyway. But I certainly won’t do anything stupid and risk anything for the season.
