There is no doubt that Armand Duplantis is the world’s best pole vaulter right now. This past season, he cemented his place on the throne by winning everything there is to win in a competitive season.
Duplanti’s success
“Mondo” took home WC gold both outdoors and indoors, EC gold outdoors, overall victory in the Diamond League and broke a bunch of world records just by speed. After the 23-year-old’s great success season, they were rewarded with several heavy, international awards and were also named the world’s second best athlete in 2022 – in all sports.

This season has started just as fantastically for the star Swede. Because even though Duplantis stood over the indoor EC in Turkey recently, it didn’t stop him from breaking a new world record once again at the beginning of 2023.

“Mondo” hunts
The new world record is now 6.22 meters and Armand Duplantis is already on the hunt for 6.23 meters. There is really nothing wrong with the form and the Swede has published a clip from the training that has people amazed on social media.

Mondo has previously admitted that he doesn’t jump as high in training as he does in competition. But in the video you can see how the bar is a good way up in the air and yet the pole vault star flies over with playful ease, see below.

The new pictures
The post that the 23-year-old himself posted on Instagram has already received over 30,000 likes and many are speculating how high he may have actually jumped. Where many are convinced that it is guaranteed to be over six meters but the question is exactly how much, see the video below.
Regardless, the vast majority are impressed by Duplanti’s incomparable jump in training. The sister Johanna Duplantis and the girlfriend Desire Inglander is there in the comment field and writes supportive words, but also many more want to send a greeting to the Swedish world star.
