The 31-year-old has switched biathlon to long-distance running.
Now a new picture of her is raising happy shouts on social media.
The last few years have been both eventful and very changeable for the Swedish skiing profile Stina Nilsson. After reaping great success as one of the world’s best cross-country skiers with both Olympic and World Cup gold, something sensational happened in 2020.
Nilsson changes sports
Nilsson got tired of the sport and wanted a new challenge in his career. Instead, she switched to biathlon and took on the new sport with high expectations.

Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out at all what neither she nor everyone else had hoped for. Stina has had to fight really hard in the last four years to be able to develop in biathlon and has been far from the world top.
New picture of Stina
Now the 31-year-old has had enough again and last spring it was announced that she is changing sports again. This time it will be a whole-hearted investment in long-distance running and the training for the coming season is in full swing.

Stina Nilsson is currently in Norway for the hard training for the coming winter and takes the opportunity to share her pre-season with all interested followers on social media. She has now posted a picture of herself that is causing happy shouts on Instagram, see it below.
“Apparently it’s perfectly fine to get new freckles even when there’s no sun,” she writes along with the picture.
The picture on Instagram, see it below, has received over 8,000 likes and a lot of Swedes are looking forward to a new winter with the Swedish skiing star. At the same time that many have adopted Stina’s penchant for puns.
