The new money rain for Armand Duplantis after the WC gold – that’s how much “Mondo” gets after the huge drama at the indoor WC

Armand Duplantis did it again!
On Sunday night, he won another WC gold to add to the collection.
Now it has been revealed how much “Mondo” actually earns from the new gold medal.

Again is Armand Duplantis the world’s best pole vaulter and he certainly has no plans to slow down. On Sunday evening, another WC gold came in a row and now the Swedish world star is up to eight championship gold so far in his career.

Duplanti’s success

He may be 24 years old, but he is already well on his way to becoming one of Sweden’s and the world’s best track and field athletes of all time. But it was still unexpectedly exciting for “Mondo” on Sunday evening during the indoor WC in Glasgow.

Duplantis cleared twice at 5.85 meters and then once more at 5.95. It also became nervous for the Swedish hope, but he managed to shake off his nerves and deliver when it was needed most.

Mondo’s reward

Mondo became the only pole vaulter to go over six meters and managed a new world best with 6.05 meters. He also attempted a new world record height of 6.24 meters but had to settle for “only” WC gold this evening.
– It is the hardest gold medal I have received. It is extra special. I value this highly, says Armand Duplantis to TT.
– I am very happy to bring home the gold to Sweden. I know that every time I put on the Swedish competition jersey I want to do well and win.

The new WC gold also adds extra to the bag and jingles in the coffers of the world’s best pole vaulters. Namely, Mondo receives 40,000 dollars, approximately 413,000 Swedish kronor, in prize money according to the International Athletics Federation, World Athletics.

Duplantis has now won an Olympic gold, two WC golds outdoors, two WC golds indoors, two EC golds outdoors, one EC gold indoors and has broken the world record seven times.
