In Peasant, you take on the role of a farmer who rebels against corrupt adventurers. The developers successfully funded their game on Kickstarter and exceeded their goal in just 21 hours so that the game can be released on Steam in the future.
What kind of game is this? In Peasant, you don’t play a hero, but a farmer who rebels against corrupt adventurers. The game doesn’t offer traditional skill trees; instead, your actions determine which of over 12 possible paths you can choose and combine.
In the meantime, you can explore the world, tame exotic creatures, build armies and assert yourself against the so-called heroes.
The developers presented their game on Kickstarter to raise money for it. They exceeded their goal within a very short time. The final game will then be released on Steam.

Kickstarter goal exceeded in less than a day
Which goal did the developers exceed? The developers put their project on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter in order to realize the game. Their target sum was €30,000.
Not only did they reach this goal in 21 hours, they have now significantly exceeded it. Currently, 2,566 people have supported the project with a total of €170,907 (as of August 1st, 8:00 p.m.).
What’s next for the developers? Unfortunately, an exact release date for the game is not yet known. However, the Kickstarter page suggests that the game could be released in spring 2025.
By reaching certain funding goals on Kickstarter, users have already been able to unlock some features. For example, the game will offer the ability to fish and cook. In addition, 75% of the map will be accessible during the early access release.
In addition, the game will feature 12 different paths that you can choose from as the story progresses.
Not every game that was financed through Kickstarter is a success on Steam. One MMORPG had to go through this painful experience after having to abandon its project before release. You can read about the game here: Berlin supports MMORPG with €175,000 – It fails on Steam and dies before release
