As far as we learned with the official statement made today, the new MG HS model managed to receive five stars from Euro NCAP.
The statement from MG on this subject was as follows:: “HS, one of the assertive models of the MG brand, which continues to raise the bar of success worldwide, did not break the tradition and successfully passed the Euro NCAP tests, receiving full points. The gasoline version of the new HS, which will pursue success in Europe simultaneously with Türkiye, demonstrated its safety by receiving 5 stars in Euro NCAP tests. The Turbo Hybrid version of the new HS model, which was put on sale in Turkey in October, made a rapid entry into the market and managed to become the leader of the PHEV segment among its ambitious competitors. The gasoline version of the HS, which showed a significant performance in the month it first stepped into this segment where technological and premium models compete, will soon be offered for sale throughout Europe. The new HS completed the stringent Euro NCAP tests with superior performance in all safety areas. In its evaluation, Euro NCAP said, “When Euro NCAP last tested MG’s largest vehicle, HS, in 2019, it received 5 Stars. Euro NCAP protocols have been upgraded twice since then. MG, on the other hand, updated its new model with new technologies to reach a 5-Star rating in 2024. “As a result, the car showed an impressive performance within the scope of Euro NCAP’s 2024 test program and received the Euro NCAP 5 Star evaluation.”
