Earlier this month crashed Jenny Rissved nasty in a training session. Therefore, the Swedish Olympic gold hero from Rio 2016 was forced to cancel the cycling WC prematurely.
Rissved’s accident
A short time later, there was also reassuring news from the 29-year-old who was doing well under the circumstances.
“I’m fine. Not the weekend I was hoping for, though. Now my little head must be allowed to recover,” writes Rissveds on Instagram, showing off his bruised face.

The Swedish cyclist suffered a minor concussion and now comes new information about her health status. Ahead of this weekend’s Mountain Bike World Cup in Andorra, the team provides a new status update.
– For us, it is a normal World Cup week. If you feel good, you drive, they say Robert Whitlock who is manager of Rissved’s stable, to SVT Sport.
– We expect her to drive.

Jenny Rissveds is already in place in Andorra and is now fully recovered from the concussion.
– Jenny is fine. You have to feel completely 100 if you want to participate, and right now it looks like that, even if it can change. You have to be vigilant about how you feel and not take stupid risks, says Whitlock in the interview.

The mountain bike world cup is run in Andorra between August 25 and 27. The Swede made a big breakthrough in 2016 when she won a sensational Olympic gold in mountain biking, then she was awarded the “Performance of the Year” award at the Sports Gala and the prestigious Victoria scholarship.
