The new hero in Diablo Immortal sounds like 2 of the best classes from Baldur’s Gate 3 is free for everyone

Blizzard has announced the Storm as a new class for Diablo Immortal and is now explaining what exactly these mythical warriors can do. The skills sound a lot like classes that are already extremely strong in Dungeons & Dragons and Baldur’s Gate 3.

What kind of new class is this?

  • The Storm is the newest class in Diablo Immortal and will be released as a free update on May 23rd.
  • The warriors come from a now sunken empire and, according to history, are the last fighters of a powerful empress.
  • Even if the idea at first seems as if the class is simply a better monk from Diablo 3, there is obviously much more to it.

This is how the storm plays: Storms are melee wizards who fight with the power of wind and water. Blizzard has explained the skills in more detail in a new blog post and MMORPG.com has already been able to play them.

At its core, the storm weaves spells in close combat, creating zephyrs that mirror some skills. So he can easily melt even big bosses with mirror images. He relies primarily on speed and magic, which is strongly reminiscent of storm magic.

Two classes in Baldur’s Gate 3 function similarly: Clerics of the Domain of the Storm and Monks of the Open Hand. Both are at the top of the tier list in Baldur’s Gate 3 and storms sound like a mix of the two. MMORPG.com writes:

The storm feels hectic and easy to get into, but with a lot of depth. It feels like a class that anyone can play well, but in the hands of someone who has mastered it, it becomes wild and crazy.

However, storms have one clear difference: they fight with blades. Something that, at least in D&D, clerics and monks generally forego.

Diablo Immortal brings new classes, changes the most complicated systems

If you play a storm in Diablo Immortal and create a new character, you have the choice of playing an intro created specifically for the class. Alternatively, you can simply change classes or play the regular intro.

Blizzard has also announced other changes, most notably to the game’s Paragon system and the various difficulty levels. Both are heavily evaporated:

  • Instead of 15 different Paragon trees with 5 skills each, there are now only 5 trees.
  • In these 5 trees you have 15 skills to choose from, but you can still only use 5 of them.
  • This is intended to give you a little more flexibility in how you want to play.
  • The maximum paragon is also reduced from 1,399 to 299.

The update provides a much better overview of the various difficulties in Diablo Immortal:

  • Hell 1-8 are now simply Hell 1
  • Inferno 1-3 are now Hell 2
  • Inferno 4-6 are now Hell 3
  • The level of the challenge portals will also be reduced. Diablo Immortal is intended to become “more sustainable” for all players, according to Blizzard.

According to MMORPG.com, the new class should play really well. If you still don’t want to take a look at Diablo Immortal or are waiting for the release of the storm, then it’s worth taking a look at the latest part, Diablo 4. It recently received a new update with Season 4, which is hugely exciting for all players: “Imagine “That’s how it’s been since release” – Season 4 delights players because they can simply play
