Finland has gone on two straight defeats against Sweden.
First it was Tre Kronor that sprinkled salt in the wounds.
Now the International Ice Hockey Federation is also making a huge mockery of the Finns.
First it was Loreen with the song “Tattoo” which snuffed Finland to victory in Eurovision. Finnish Dear won the hearts of the people with the song “Cha cha cha” but only had to settle for second place.
Sweden’s victories
Just a few days later came the next Finnish defeat against Sweden. When Tre Kronor defeated Finland after a penalty drama in the hockey World Cup and the Finnish national mourning continued even further.

Sweden also did its utmost to fuel the rivalry between the nations by posting the text line “and all I care about is you, you’re stuck on me like a tattoo” on Twitter right after the final whistle. The pass provoked strong reactions in neighboring Finland, and many have expressed their irritation at the Swedish slip.

Mocking Finland
But now comes the next mockery of Finland in the hockey World Cup. When it is the International Ice Hockey Federation itself that takes the opportunity to sprinkle salt in the wounds of all Finns. The IIHF has published its latest “power ranking” on Twitter, where they rate and describe the performance of all teams in the World Cup with humorous jokes, see the picture below.

Finland ends up in sixth place in the ranking after two initial losses in the World Cup at home and gets another slur thrown at it with the words: “Less Cha cha cha, more win win win”.

“So amazingly good”
Sweden takes a strong second place behind the USA and also gets a cheeky pass at the Finns in its description: “Finland got one (goal), but we got a tattoo (two)”, which sounds much better and funnier when you read it in English.
The IIHF is now being praised on social media for the funny justifications. Where even Norway has got one Erling Haaland– also joking, see the picture below.
“Haha, really good,” writes one user in the comments.
“This is so very good,” writes another.
“Love the descriptions of Sweden and Finland,” writes a third.
