The authority writes this in an update on its website. The error has caused a lot of chaos over the weekend, including when travelers were stranded in Ånge after a hastily changed departure time.
SJ is also working feverishly to get replacement buses, but this has proven to be problematic.
This weekend, the forecast was that the error would be fixed today, Monday. But in the morning, new information came via the Swedish Transport Agency’s website. It said that the problem could only be fixed on Wednesday – a forecast that was, however, changed once more.
The latest offer is that the stop should be able to be fixed on Tuesday at lunchtime. According to the authority’s press service, the work to repair the line has flowed well and all the material has arrived. However, there is an approximately one kilometer long stretch of power line that needs to be replaced, and therefore it takes time to fix.
