The new Dragon Age is coming next week

The fourth main game in BioWare’s popular Dragon Age series will be released next week. In Dragon Age: The Veilguard you can create your own character and assign it to one of 6 different factions. We want to know which faction you vote for.

BioWare’s latest game is Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the fourth main installment in the popular Dragon Age series. You can lend a hand yourself from October 31st and start the game with your own character.

You can personalize your own character aka Rook not only in terms of appearance: you can choose your race, class and your faction. The latter gives your character a story as part of the adventure, which in turn gives you your own dialogue and interaction options.

Which faction will you join in your first run? Vote and tell us in the comments why you want to choose this group. Below the survey we will introduce you to the factions again.

The factions – backgrounds for your Rook

When you create your character, you choose a race and customize the character’s appearance. You also have to choose one of three different classes. Last but not least, you give your Rook a past by choosing one of six different factions:

  • The Gray Wardens
  • The Order was founded to protect the world from the Darkspawn. Their headquarters is Weisshaupt Fortress, but they are active throughout the world of Dragon Age.
  • The masters of fate
  • The Masters of Destiny are a relatively new group in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The treasure hunters, explorers and hunters made their debut in the anthology Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights.
  • The Crows of Antiva
  • The Crows are headquartered in the city that gives them their name: Antiva. Behind the scenes, the Assassins Guild influences their nation to the best of their ability. They don’t shy away from contract killings – even the royal family isn’t safe from them.
  • The Shadow Dragons
  • This squad may look familiar to you from Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights and the comic Dragon Age: The Missing. The Shadow Dragons are a resistance movement that fights for the abolition of slavery and against corruption.
  • The Veil Jumpers
  • The Veil Jumpers also had their first appearance in a comic and a short story. This is a group of researchers exploring ancient elven ruins in the Forest of Arlathan.
  • The Mourning Watch
  • Those who join the Mourning Watch become members of a necromantic order that deals with botched magic, Nevarran burial rights, and the possession of corpses. The squad is known from Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights.
