The new details that show why Linn Svahn is completely superior – SVT expert Anders Blomquist explains: “It’s outclassing”

Linn Svahn is better than ever in sprints.
Most recently, she outclassed everyone in Canmore.
Now SVT expert Anders Blomquist explains why.

She is almost unstoppable right now. Lynn Svahn is in the best form of his life and just keeps racking up wins at the World Cup.

Svahn superior

On Tuesday, the Swede got her big revenge on the Norwegian arch-rival Kristine Stavå’s Ski City, after losing the first sprint duel in Canmore, Canada. Svahn was absolutely phenomenal in the sprint final and several meters ahead of runner-up Skistad and third Jonna Sundling in goal.
– Look how superior she is Linn Svahn. That is outclassing, said the commentator Per Forsberg in Viaplay.

It was the 24-year-old’s sixth individual World Cup victory this season and she leads the overall Sprint Cup by a large margin. But how is it that Linn Svahn can be so superior?

Blomquist’s judgment

Experienced SVT expert Anders Blomquist now explains why and gives his initiated analysis of the fantastic Svahn.
– Linn Svahn stakes better than I have ever seen her do. She has always been good at it, but now she is in perfect balance – physically training-wise and mentally. She feels like a winner, she knows she can solve most things and then you often do that if you have talent like Linn Svahn, says “Blomman” to the TV channel.

Blomquist then goes into a very detailed description of what makes Linn so incredibly successful on the ski slopes. The TV pundit takes Tuesday night’s Canmore sprint as a perfect example.
– Svahn enters the race with confidence, she is a little more energetic than Jonna Sundling is, she is stronger than Kristine Skistad Stavås and she sets the technique perfectly. She comes in high above the others, she has a better angle of attack and gets power through the poles, says the SVT profile.
– She lies with her body weight high, straight over the poles and gets the angle so that there is good speed towards the goal. That’s about as perfect as you can make it. If we also look at Linn’s steeplechase compared to Jonna and Kristine, she is, despite the fact that she comes the highest and completes the most compact, the one who is back the fastest. The others need more time, they get longer arm pulls and they are slower in the next move, where you use your body to push forward.

Anders Blomquist is really impressed by Linn Svahn and how masterfully she skis right now.
– She does it so nicely in all parts of that sprint and that’s why she wins by far, he says to the TV channel.
