Blizzard has announced new DLC for Diablo 4. According to dataminers, “Vessel of Hatred” is supposed to bring with it a new class called “Spiritborn”. You can find out here what the class has to offer and what you can expect
What is the Spiritborn? The Spiritborn is said to be a new class in Diablo 4’s upcoming DLC. According to leakers (via youtube.com) who dug into Diablo 4’s data, they found that this is an unprecedented class that Blizzard developed for “Vessel of Hatered”.
The Spiritborn should be close to nature, so suitable for the upcoming jungle setting. He is also said to wield a glaive. How he can attack with this weapon and whether the class can also cast spells or miracles is not yet known.
However, treat the information with great caution, they are still leaks, but most of them have been confirmed. So a lot could change for the final release.
Blizzard prefers to create new classes rather than bring back old ones
Where are the familiar classes? When Diablo 4 was released, many fans wanted well-known classes like the paladin, the witch doctor or monk back and although the mood of the community was clear, Blizzard is going in a different direction.
If the leak about the Spiritborn is true, Blizzard will focus on developing new and innovative classes in the future. A new class, the Blood Knight, appeared with Diablo: Immortal. This is a mixture of paladin and vampire and inspires with new abilities and also ensures freshness. The Spiritborn could be a mix of druid, witch doctor and sorceress, wielding nature-based magic and using his glaive to keep enemies at bay.
It remains to be seen how Blizzard cobbled together the new class and whether it can ultimately prove itself against the existing classes.
When will the first DLC for Diablo 4 be released? According to Blizzard, the first DLC is scheduled to appear at the end of 2024. A dedicated team of developers is working on the project. A big announcement about the project will then appear in summer 2024. The DLC will be presented in more detail so that players know what to expect.
