The League of Legends Worlds 2023 finals revealed the new champion Hwei, a magician who shines with a brush and his creativity. MeinMMO tells you what the champion is capable of.

When is the new champion coming out? In the middle of LoL Worlds 2023, where T1 dominated and won, Hwei was announced. The new champion Hwei the Visionary is scheduled to release on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 with patch 13.24.

What abilities does Hwei have? Hweis is said to be a complex and a versatile champion. It’s a midlane mage that’s supposed to be unique to play with ten different spells. He basically fights as an artist with a brush and his creativity.

Its 3 forms allow it to perform different combinations, making it a Swiss Army knife. Among other things, he can give movement, restore mana, burst, slow, distribute vision and shields – this makes him incredibly versatile.

Hwei, the visionary and Swiss army knife

These are his abilities:

(Passive) Signature of the Visionary: Hwei’s damaging abilities against enemy champions mark them for a few seconds. Hitting marked enemies with a different damage ability will trigger an explosion among the targets, exploding after a short delay, dealing magic damage to all enemies within its range.

Q-Subject: Disaster

This form/stance specializes in damage. Hwei has the three abilities in this form:

QQ Devastating Fire:

  • Hwei paints a blazing fireball flying in the direction of the target. It explodes on the first enemy hit or at maximum range, dealing magic damage plus a percentage of maximum health to all enemies in the area.

    • QW Severing Bolt:

  • Hwei paints a long-range, devastating bolt of lightning onto the target location. After a delay, lightning strikes, dealing magical damage. Immobilized or isolated enemies take increased damage based on their lack of health.

    • QE Molten Fissure:

  • Hwei paints a field with exploding volcanic eruptions that leave behind lingering lava. Each eruption deals magical damage to enemies hit. Enemies in the lava area take magic damage per second and are slowed.

    • W-Subject: Serenity

    He brings these three skills with him in the form:

    WQ Fleeting Current :

    Hwei paints a stream of fast water in a line for a few seconds, giving him and his allies movement speed.

    WW Pool of Reflection:

  • Hwei forms a protective area at the target location that lasts for a few seconds. Allied champions in this area gain an instant shield, increasing in value over a few seconds while they are in this area.

    • WE Stirring Lights:

  • Hwei paints three swirling lights circling him for several seconds. Hwei’s next three attacks or spells deal additional magic damage and grant mana on a hit.

    • E-Subject Torment :

    These are his three abilities in the form:

    EQ Grim Visage:

  • Hwei fires a fearsome face that hits the first enemy hit, dealing magic damage and sending them fleeing for a short time.

    • EW Gaze of the Abyss:

  • Hwei paints an Abyssal Eye at the target location, granting vision and targeting the nearest visible enemy champion. After a short delay, the Eye fires at the targeted champion, trapping the first enemy in its path for a few seconds and dealing magical damage.

    • EE Crushing Maw :

  • Hwei paints crushing jaws that deal magical damage to enemies hit and pull them to the center, slowing them by a certain amount that quickly decays.

    • R Spiraling Despair :

  • Hwei creates a vision of pure desperation that lingers on an enemy champion for a few seconds. The vision expands and overwhelms all enemies it touches, dealing magic damage per second. Enemies within the zone are afflicted with stacks of Despair over time. Each stack inflicts a stackable percentage slow. At the end, the vision shatters, dealing magic damage.
