Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced that 18 F-16 fighter jets will be delivered to Ukraine. Stating that the Dutch government informed Zelenskiy about this decision, Rutte said, “F-16 delivery is one of the most important elements of the agreements made on military support to Ukraine.”
Rutte said that the delivery of the planes depends on the export permit of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the fulfillment of personnel and infrastructure criteria in Ukraine, but did not give any timetable.
THANKS FROM ZELENSKIY
Making a statement after the decision taken by the Dutch government, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy said, “I met with Mark Rutte and thanked him for the Dutch government’s decision to deliver the first 18 F-16 aircraft it purchased to Ukraine.”
The Netherlands sent the first US-made F-16 aircraft to the training facility established for Ukrainian pilots and personnel in Romania last month. (UAV)
