The Netherlands has announced its participation in the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, the Dutch radio and television company Avrotros report. The company is part of the Dutch broadcasting system, which is responsible for Eurovision in the country.

Holland’s participation in next year’s Eurovision was still not certain in September. At that time, the European Broadcasting Union EBU gave the Netherlands until November to decide on its participation.

Holland’s representative at this year’s Eurovision Joost Klein disketted. The reason was the threatening behavior of the country’s representative towards the photographer. However, the Swedish public prosecutor’s office closed the investigation into Klein due to a lack of evidence.

According to Avrotros, Klein was given the opportunity to represent the Netherlands again, but declined.

This year’s Eurovision was won by Switzerland Nemo with his song The Code.

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland. The competition is the 69th in its series.
