It is not yet known whether the last episodes will last longer than usual. Looking at the novel template The time of contempt does the season still have some big plot moments to accommodate after the cliffhanger from episode 5. A long finale would therefore be more than justified.
The Witcher continues without Henry Cavill: when will season 4 come to Netflix?
Season 3 is Henry Cavill’s last. For months, fans have been preparing for his farewell as Geralt of Rivia. But the series doesn’t end there. Netflix has already ordered season 4 and even season 5, in which Liam Hemsworth takes on the role of the witch Geralt.
It is not yet known to what extent the production of the next season will be affected by the ongoing scriptwriter strike in Hollywood. However, Redanian Intelligence reports that the scripts for Season 4 were either fully or nearly fully completed before the strike and the Filming of the new episodes in September 2023 should start.
For the start of Liam Hemsworth’s debut as Geralt of Rivia, however, this means a longer wait. With a Netflix launch of Season 4 is not before 2025 to reckon with.
