Netflix is re-launching nothing new in the West with Marvel star Daniel Brühl
Edward Berger’s (All My Loving) film will differ from the book in a number of ways. So he shows the fate of the front-line soldiers in the war, but apparently also reports on the efforts of German politicians such as Matthias Erzberger (Daniel Brühl), which are not described in the template.
It’s not the first time, that the novel by Erich Maria Remarque will be implemented for the screen or home cinema. As early as 1930, Lewis Milestone brought an acclaimed adaptation to cinemas with Nothing New on the West. Another well-known version followed in 1975 with Ernest Borgnine and Ian Holm.
