Three years already since it was released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and Samurai Shodown has not finished saying its last word. Teased this summer, the netcode rollback for the game has finally found its release date through a video pasted to the KOF XV Season 2 trailer. SNK has indeed slipped the information that this online feature will be deployed in January 2023 first on Steam, then will arrive in stride on the other platforms, including PS5 and Xbox Series. SNK clarified that it relied on KOF XV’s netcode to build Samurai Shodown’s netcode, which makes a lot of sense.
