Facts: The strike notice
If unions and employers do not manage to reach a solution in the continued negotiations this weekend, Seko’s first strike notice will go out at 3pm on Monday 15 May.
The warning is designed as a three-stage rocket, where stage one means that the Öresund train, commuter train traffic in Stockholm and certain SJ sections will be affected.
In stages two and three, among other things, the subway and more SJ sections will go on strike, and last in the chain also freight traffic on rails.
The negotiation between the parties is being conducted under threat of a strike from the union, starting on Monday 15 May.
The strike was supposed to have started already on Thursday, but was postponed until Monday. Despite that, commuter train traffic in the Stockholm region has been affected since Friday morning.
The union’s demands in the negotiation are about schedule issues, working hours and solo work. The latter issue has been rewritten in recent weeks when it caused a wild strike among the commuter train drivers, but has been prioritized down in the contract negotiations.
