Sebastian Andersson33, ends his professional football career. Andersson’s career has contained powerful moments, but unfortunately it has been lined with many injuries.
“It’s been time for a while”
In an interview with The football channel he opens up on the decision to end his career:
– I’ve really put it down a while ago. It’s been time for a while. It has been a lot of injuries, a lot of wear and I have not really been able to move as I wanted. It was fun in many ways in Nuremberg, but after that I felt that it was basically over. Now the decision is made.
He goes on to tell about the thinking:
– I have received some offers in recent months, but I have not had the craving and did not want to move from the family. There have been many factors that have recorded. The feeling has been the same, that I don’t want to play anymore. It is a long period that I have known that, but I have not really wanted to close the door, as football has been a big part of life. But I have to do it now.
“Working in football is a natural step”
What is waiting for Andersson is not yet clear.
– I’ve started playing a little paddle and training a bit. Then I try to figure out what I want to do and feel some stuff, but everything must take its time. Working in football is a natural step, but right now there will be some more things that have nothing to do with football to get some perspective. Then I will probably be naturally drawn to football eventually.
