The national strike of Trenitalia personnel has ended

(Finance) – The strike has ended Trenitalia personnel proclaimed by unions from 9 to 17 on Friday 14 April. This is what we read in a note by state Railways who specifies that “before and during the strike, the information activity carried out by Trenitalia and the FS Group was extensive and widespread, which found support and echo on the national and local media”.

“This, along with others management initiatives, it made it possible to contain the inconvenience for those who needed to travel by train. Besides those National trains whose circulation is guaranteed by law by the current rules on strikes public services, Trenitalia has made other trains travel, both long-distance and regional, in line with the staff available because they are not on strike.

“Compared to the number of rides that should have circulated during the 8 hours of the strike, those canceled were 40, 37% in the Long Journey (AV, Frecce and Intercity), and an average of 65.16 in Regionals. In essence, three out of five long-distance trains circulated and, albeit with differences from Region to Region, an average of one out of three trains in regional transport”, concludes Ferrovie dello Stato.
