EPTEIN CASE
Jeffrey Epstein case files began to be made public on January 3 and had a great impact around the world. The published documents included the names of many famous business people, politicians and celebrities in the files that were part of the case filed against Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015 by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims.
FOUND DEAD IN PRISON
Jeffrey Epstein was detained in the US state of Florida in 2005 for allegedly paying money to have sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl. Although many underage girls claimed that Epstein and his friends subjected them to sexual abuse, the court arrested Epstein in 2008. He was found guilty of sexually abusing a single person. Epstein received a 13-month sentence after being found guilty. The billionaire was found dead in prison while in custody after New York prosecutors found Epstein guilty of running a prostitution network in 2019.
Regarding the first detention period in the case file;
“This case has its origins in the decade-long criminal case against financier Jeffrey Epstein. On June 30, 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty in the state of Florida to charges of soliciting and procuring a person under the age of eighteen for prostitution. The charges stemmed from sexual activity with privately hired ‘masseuses’, some of whom were under the age of eighteen, Florida’s age of consent. Under an agreement with state and federal prosecutors, Epstein pleaded guilty to the state’s charges. He was sentenced to limited prison time, registered as a sex offender, and agreed to pay restitution to his victims. “In response, prosecutors declined to file federal charges.”
WHOSE NAMES ARE IN THE FILES?
There are many well-known politicians and celebrities mentioned in the files. In addition to Clinton and Trump, Britain’s Prince Andrew, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and former Senator George Mitchell, famous models Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell, and singer Michael Jackson were among the celebrities mentioned in the files. While it was stated that former US President Bill Clinton was close to Epsetin and that they took many plane trips, it was claimed by the plaintiffs that Prince Andrew visited the island in question many times and sexually abused underage girls. The prince denied these allegations in interviews and confirmed that he and Jeffrey were friends. In the case files regarding Donald Trump, it was stated that he was close to Epstein.
FRENCH SUSPECT WAS FOUND DEAD TOO
Jean Luc Brunel, the owner of the French modeling agency mentioned in the file, was arrested in December 2020 on suspicion of trafficking underage girls for sexual exploitation. Brunel, who was said to be close friends with Epstein, was found dead in his prison cell in Paris in February 2022.
“THERE WERE PAINTINGS OF NAKED GIRLS IN EVERY CORNER OF HIS HOUSE”
Plaintiff Virginia Guiffre, who stated that she was forced to have sexual intercourse with many high-ranking politicians and artists, stated that she was abused many times by Jean Luc Brunel, a well-known prime minister, businessman and model agency operator, and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. Virginia also announced that she had recorded images of Epstein’s abuse. The servants working at the house stated that there were cameras in every room of the house and that there were paintings of naked girls on the walls.
