[Mis à jour le 12 juillet 2023 à 19h59] We never get tired of it: TF1 is taking advantage of the summer holidays to rebroadcast the mythical comedy Les Bronzés. The first episode released in 1978 can be (re)seen on the first channel this Wednesday at 9:10 p.m. In this film directed by Patrice Leconte, the protagonists embodied by the Splendid troupe meet for the first time in a holiday camp.

The rerun of the film is an opportunity to see the legendary Jean-Claude Dusse in action. Played by Michel Blanc, this looser bachelor tries by all means to “conclude”, without really succeeding. The actor, however, could not have embodied this character. According to Current Woman, in the original play entitled “Loves, shells and crustaceans”, the role was played by Gérard Jugnot. Finally, in the film, he plays Bernard opposite Josiane Balasko. The latter also played another role on stage: in the play, she was Gigi, embodied in the films by Marie-Anne Chazel.

Synopsis – This first opus of Les Bronzés introduces us to the now well-known characters, in a holiday atmosphere conducive to relaxation… and flirting! Jean Claude (Michael White), Gigi (Marie-Anne Chazel), Christiane (Dominique Lavanant), Jérôme (Christian Keyboard) and Bernard (Gerard Jugnot) meet for the first time. If Bernard has come to find his wife, the other protagonists are rather in search of love… But will they succeed? Jean-Claude is a pathetic flirt, Gigi is too naive, Bernard and his wife make adultery a competition, Jérôme is the king of bad faith, Popeye connects the conquests at a frantic pace… The clumsiness of each will allow dialogues and situations with schoolboy humor, all in a good mood without clouds.
