The day before the World Cup quarter-finals, great concern is raised.
As Kosovare Asllani was completely absent from the press conference.

Asllani gone
The mystery surrounding Asllani then grew even more when Gerhardsson gave an unexpectedly cryptic answer to the question of whether the Swede will captain the team again against Japan. In the past he has been very open about announcing it, but now he gave a sneaky announcement instead.
– We shall see. As always, we have three captains, Seger (Caroline), Magdalena (Eriksson), and Asllani (Kosovare). It will be one of them, he says at the press conference.

– The status is good in that everyone except Seger drove full. Then, as always, we will have a reconciliation when I get home based on the fact that we have to evaluate who can play 120, or 90 minutes. It affects how we will start, admits the Swedish national team captain at the press conference.
