The school shooting in Örebro has affected the whole of Sweden and many want to show their solidarity.
The music group Stair tones has released a song in an attempt to spread comfort.
– You just want to show care and love for those affected, says Matilda Bräck.
The music group stair tones, consisting of healthcare professionals, have released a new song that is feverishly shared in social media in a kind of attempt to spread comfort in the inconsolable that happened in Örebro.
Care and love
Sweden shows in several ways solidarity with Örebro and those affected after the massacre on Tuesday. Many have shown their participation in social media.
Some of these are the group of stair tones that put out an interpretation of the song “Ordinary World” on social media.
– I think we know like so many others, that you just want to show care and love for those who are affected by this terrible, says Matilda Bräck, nurse, in News Morning.
Got to practice in a staircase
The group consists of her and heart doctors Jan Tholander and Sven Lagerberg, who all work at the Ryhov county hospital in Jönköping. During the pandemic – when they could not practice at home – they instead met in a hospital staircase and scratched and recorded, hence the name stair tones.
Does this have a special dimension for you who work in healthcare?
– We first and foremost feel solidarity with the victims and relatives, but we mainly think of the whole of Örebro then – as it happened in that area. But of course we also understand those who are involved in such a big event, says Jan Tholander, cardiologist.
