Sara Lundblad and Natalia Pshenkina have married
After Pshenkina was moved to the Hinseberg prison, the couple tried for several years to get permission to meet on furloughs, something the authorities put an end to.
The couple have also tried to get married, but the Probation Service has denied the application on the grounds that it would jeopardize security.
“In light of the fact that both Natalia Pshenkina and Sara Lundblad have been convicted of serious violent crimes and are incarcerated in a prison, the Department of Correctional Services assesses that unsupervised visits cannot be granted as it could endanger the safety of the prison,” they wrote according to Aftonbladet.
