He is suspected of having been involved in a shooting – which was aimed at the wrong door.

For that, the 15-year-old had to pay with his life.

Today, the verdict comes down after the shooting death at the sushi restaurant in Skogås.

He liked to play football, had recently taken up music and dreamed big dreams.

The family had moved from Skogås, but the 15-year-old still went to his old school and often hung out downtown. Everyone there knew who he was.

– He had lots of friends. He knew a lot of people and he spread good energy around him, says a comrade.

– He was very kind and caring. He was a fun guy. It’s empty without him, says another.

“Be afraid and cut”

But towards the end of his far too short life, the 15-year-old underwent a change. The boy who had previously been boisterous, joking and happy became withdrawn and quiet. He seemed weighed down with worry. And the phone kept ringing.

In questioning, his older sister has told that she did not recognize her little brother.

– He was scared and hurt.

Neither the family nor the friends the police have spoken to say they know any details about what the 15-year-old was involved in. But in the weeks before the murder, he sometimes gave hints about what was gnawing at him.

– I knew he had a problem, but he didn’t tell me what it was about, says a friend.

Ten charged with involvement

The investigators suspect that the boy was present at a shooting aimed at gang leader Rawa Majid’s father. However, the shots were fired at the wrong residence.

But this must have caused someone higher up in the network’s hierarchy to make the decision that the 15-year-old should die. A little over a week after the crime, on January 28 this year, the boy was shot dead inside a sushi restaurant in the city center where he enjoyed being so much.

A boy of the same age is suspected of holding the weapon. He and nine other people are charged in the case. At 11 o’clock on Thursday morning, the verdict will be handed down in Södertörn district court. All deny wrongdoing.

“Made everyone laugh”

Whatever the court decides, the family will not get their son and brother back. They will never hear him joke again, and they will never find out what would have become of those big dreams.

In the police interrogation room, the boy’s older brother told about the hole that had arisen in existence.

– He was the one who made everyone laugh. Now without him the house feels empty somehow.
