It was at the end of September that a woman was found dead in an apartment on Haga in Umeå. A man was arrested on the spot who has now been charged with murder.

The man has admitted that he killed the woman. The Swedish Medical Examiner’s Office has assessed that the man committed the crime under the influence of a serious mental disorder. However, he was not judged to suffer from a mental disorder during the examination.

The prosecutor asks during the trial what he thinks is the reason why he loses his sense of reality in this way.
– I assume they have to do with the amphetamine. I have never experienced anything like this and it is recently that I usually take amphetamines.
The man has told the police that he felt that the woman was already dead in his head and that she had no soul.
