The murder in Malå – several people are convicted of murder

It was the night between February 12 and 13 that perpetrators entered the man’s home in Malå, masked and armed with knives.

After 20 stabs, they left the man bleeding on the floor. But before that, the man managed to alert SOS himself. He initially stated that two masked men stabbed him and that he will die if they don’t hurry.

Now a 17-year-old boy, a 22-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, who are part of the same family constellation, are being sentenced for murder and protecting a criminal.

Skellefteå district court sentences the 17-year-old, the 22-year-old and the 42-year-old for murder.

The 48-year-old is sentenced for aggravated protection of a criminal.

Didn’t dare go in

It took 43 minutes from the time the emergency call was initiated until the paramedics entered the residence. In the incident report from SOS, it appears that they did not dare to enter “because there was a person with a knife in there”. Despite the fact that the dying man repeatedly declared in the emergency call that the perpetrators had left the crime scene.

Instead, he is asked to move out of his home to receive care.

The transcript of the SOS call shows the dramatic sequence of events:

“SOS: Would you be able to get out of the house?

The man: No.

SOS: Try to get some strength and then get out of the house and you will get help. Then you get, then the ambulance is outside…

Man: I’m not going anywhere.

SOS: Because the ambulance can come outside your house if you get out of the house. Take the last strength there and get out of the house and meet the ambulance. I’m on the phone all the time.

Man: I’m not coming up.

SOS: Try crawling forward. Are you trying?

Man: I’m trying to roll, no I’m not getting up.

Later in the conversation:

“SOS: Try taking the power and you’ll crawl out. Then you get help right away.

Man: No, I have no power.

SOS: You have a little strength left because you are with me.

The man: No.

SOS: Well, come on now, you’ll fix it.

Man: No. (Screaming)

SOS: Well you do, now you’re crawling. The ambulance is outside waiting for you.

Man: Come in, I’m alone. (screams)“

The family motif image

The preliminary investigation shows that there was a “strong motive image” linked to suspected sexual abuse. But the 30-year-old man has not been convicted of any such abuse.

According to one of the family members, he “couldn’t stop thinking” about the man who died today, which finally drove him to commit the murder.

The four people, who all belong to the same family constellation, are now sentenced for, among other things, murder.

TV4 Nyheterna has contacted the prosecutor, who is not available for comment.
