The municipality wants to build housing in Lungvik – the port association may be forced to move

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The concern is based on the master plan that the municipality adopted in April 2020, which states that it wants to build homes with a waterfront location in the area – something that may mean that the port association is forced to move.

The master plan categorizes Lungvik’s marina as a “development area”.

In these areas, the municipality wants to eventually transform and give a more “urban character with elements of, for example, trade, housing, public services and offices.”

No answers for the future

According to the harbor association, the municipality has not provided an answer to their intentions for the area and this has created uncertainty for the members, who gathered on Tuesday evening to discuss the issue together with invited representatives from the municipality.

In the clip, Jonas Karlin, chairman of Lungviks Hamnförening, talks about the members’ concerns about short-term leases and the frustration they feel about the area’s uncertain future.
