The construction of the new swimming pool in Leidsche Rijn should ensure that there will be enough swimming areas in the future for the more than 470,000 residents who are expected to live in the municipality in 2040. As soon as the pool in the Máximapark is finished, a renovation of the municipal pools Den Hommel and De Kwakel is planned in 2032 and 2036 respectively.
