The idea is to work with a so-called reservation calendar. According to the council, there should always be room in the calendar for events such as King’s Night, King’s Day, Remembrance Day, Liberation Day, Keti Koti, Utrecht Canal Pride, Sint Maarten and the arrival of Sinterklaas. These events are “inextricably linked to the city and its residents”, according to the council. Other events should be planned around that.
