The Municipality of Genoa has communicated that the board of directors of Aeroporti di Roma has resolved in favor of the proposal to sell the 15% stake held in the Genoa airport company to the municipal administration.
The mayor of the Ligurian capital, Marco Bucci, deemed it “fundamental that the Municipality of Genoa becomes an active part in the management of the city’s airport, a strategic infrastructure for tourist, economic and commercial development on which important discussions are being carried out for an imminent relaunch “, adding that “all requests to purchase shares will be subject to the necessary administrative steps and approval by the city council”.

The president of Aeroporti di Roma, Vincenzo Nunziata, in response to the proposal from the Municipality of Genoa, said he was pleased to be able to contribute, with the sale of the minority shareholding in the Cristoforo Colombo company, to the entry of the Municipality among the public shareholders of the Genoese port.
