The MP summit is pressuring the climate and environment minister about emission increases

– Succeeding in the feat of increasing emissions in a low economy is remarkably bad, says Amanda Lind (MP) during Thursday’s debate in Aktuellt.

Romina Pourmokhtari (L) believes that it is a temporary and planned increase, and that the levels will be lowered next year with the help of various environmental initiatives planned by the government.

– The reductions forecasted in your budget are very small compared to the large increase in emissions you are making this year, Lind answers.

The reduction obligation

The increase was inevitable due to the Green Party’s previous policy, says the climate and environment minister:

– The reason why emissions are increasing is because we lower the reduction obligation, and we do that because MP put all its eggs in one basket and only bet on high fuel prices as a solution.
