It seems all but certain that The Movie Critic will hit theaters. Tarantino is aiming for a deal similar to the one he had with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and that includes a guaranteed theatrical release.
Should he quickly come to an agreement with an interested party, a theatrical release at the end of 2024 or mid-2025 would be conceivable, at least if we go by his last film. In 2017, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was announced and two years later it was released in cinemas.
