Where the Lie Falls blossomed from a box office hit to a romcom sensation in the cinema and has now come to Netflix after just a few months. It goes without saying that the hit immediately went to the top of the Netflix charts. In the romantic film, Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) pretend to be a couple at a wedding in Australia, even though they can’t stand each other. While sparks fly in the story, death was actually not far away during filming.

The dangerous scene in Where the Lie Falls
In one of the most impressive scenes of Where Lies Fall (minute 44), Glen Powell exposes himself on a slope out of fear of a Spider in his clothes. Cursing, he rips off his clothes and hurls them into the abyss until he is completely naked. The actor later revealed to Variety how filming this moment put him in serious danger:
Taking off your clothes right next to a cliff is not particularly safe. No one on set talked about this safety risk when I almost fell to my death because I took off my pants too quickly. But it’s a really funny scene, so it was worth it.
It wasn’t the only time that Glen Powell’s life was threatened because of the film Where Lies Fall: There was also a near helicopter crash during filming. Fortunately, watching the comedy on Netflix is completely safe.
