The database shows real consumption

To find out how much gasoline different car models draw in reality, you can look at the German database Sprint enginewhere car owners themselves report their fuel consumption.

In the database there is also a compilation of which are the most frugal petrol cars, which We Car Owners have reported on.

Here is the most fuel-efficient car

The most frugal gasoline car actually falls under the hybrid category, and uses a gasoline engine in combination with an electric motor and a battery to lower its consumption.

It is about the small SUV Toyota Yaris Cross, which, according to the figures in the database, has a real fuel consumption of 4.6 liters per mile. The Suzuki Celerio can also boast of that consumption.

Regular Toyota Yaris qualifies for third place in the list with a gas consumption of 4.8 liters per mile.

Judging from the list, car manufacturers in Asia are the best at building fuel-efficient cars. 8 of the top 10 cars are from Japan, while two are from South Korea.
