Ranked among the most beautiful villages of Aveyron, the medieval village of Conches has managed to preserve its authenticity with its cobbled streets, its half-timbered houses, its bread ovens and its famous pilgrims’ bridge, known as the “Roman bridge”. Famous for its abbey church whose architecture and sculptures on the porch are remarkable, and its treasure, notably the golden statue of Sainte Foy, the village is classified as a UNESCO world heritage site under the Camino de Santiago in France.
