After two films that made the world feel a little bit better suddenly the worry about Paddington 3 was great again. After the third part got the green light in mid-2022, the status of the film was suddenly unclear again in early 2023. It was unbearable to think that the most anticipated sequel since Avengers 4: Endgame and Avatar 2: The Way of Water might not come.

Now Paddington fans can look forward to it. The start of production has officially been announced for part 3 entitled Paddington in Peru.

Paddington 3 will be filmed later this year

As Deadline reports, the Produced by Paddington in Peru on July 24, 2023 begin. Six years after Paddington 2, shooting begins for the sequel, in which the best bear in cinema history ends up in his native country of Peru.

  • Paul King, director of the first two Paddington films, will not be directing Part 3. Dougal Wilson, who has previously shot music videos and commercials, takes over as a replacement. Paddington in Peru marks his feature film debut.
