The monkey invaded to the substation caused a nationwide power outage in Sri Lanka, the Energy Minister of Energy Kumara Jayakody tells you.
The power outage started at about half past twelve in the morning local time, and three hours later the fault had not been completely corrected. According to Jayakody, it is not clear when electricity can be restored throughout the country.
– The monkey came into contact with the transformer, which unstable system, Jayakody says.
The penetration took place in the largest city in the country in Colombo.
Sri wireers had to withstand extensive power outages for months in the summer of 2022, when the country had plunged into financial chaos.
At that time, Sri Lanka’s energy production leaned on thermal power plants, which regulated electricity to 13 hours a day due to a fuel shortage.
