The moderates in Vingåker give up pride after the chat jokes

“Prennfors suggests a gay evening in the riding house with a tryout for inexperienced guys! Cool idea???”

So wrote Christer Glaumann (S), in a chat during the spring.

Now the Moderates in Vingåker have chosen not to have a tent during the Vingåkersbygden pride on August 17.

– If I participate in pride, I say that it is okay that people have a bad view of humanity. It’s not okay, says Charlotte Prennfors (M).

“More important than a personal conflict”

Christer Glaumann writes in a text message to SVT that he has left the board work in Vingåkersbygden’s pride, but that he remains as treasurer as it is cumbersome to change the treasurer during the preparations for pride. He also writes that he has apologized to Charlotte Prennfors.

“The celebration of pride is an important manifestation, not least for those who cannot or dare not live openly in society. The implementation is therefore more important than a local personal conflict, which is why we continued to work,” he writes.

Margareta Karlsson has also previously apologized.

– I can’t come up with any other answer than that it was stupid. I am prepared to apologize if someone has offended, she told SVT in May.

Hear Charlotte Prennfors tell more about the decision in the clip.
