Sweden’s division of electricity price areas creates division within several parties, and the issue continues to come up as electricity prices skyrocket.
At the Moderate party, which gathered today for the run-up to the election, local politicians in Skåne demand that the system be reformed with a price for the whole country.
But the party leadership has no plans to pursue that line.
– We don’t mind reviewing the division, but fundamentally it doesn’t solve the problem, says Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M), who is a spokesman for economic policy.
