Now the Moderate party secretary Karin Enström is reacting to Kallafakta’s revelation about the Sweden Democrats’ troll factory.
– We all have a responsibility to counteract division and polarization, writes Enström in a comment to TV4 Nyheterna.
During the day, Social Democrats’ party leader Magdalena Andersson sharpened her tone further after Kalla fakta’s revelation about how the Sweden Democrats systematically use anonymous accounts to attack opponents. Andersson demands that the prime minister call for a party leadership conference.
– It is something completely incredible that has been revealed, says Magdalena Andersson to TV4 Nyheterna.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has not commented on the demand. On the other hand, the Moderates’ party secretary Karin Enström sent out an invitation to all party secretaries during the afternoon for a meeting to talk about slander on the internet.
“There are several examples of parties using anonymous or non-anonymous accounts to smear politicians and parties. If we party secretaries can have a meeting about the tone of the political conversation, I think that is good. We all have a responsibility to counteract division and polarization,” says Karin Enström in a written comment to TV4 Nyheterna.
S requires party leader talks
In a written comment to TV4 Nyheterna, the party secretary of the Social Democrats, Tobias Baudin, announces that they will attend the meeting. But the Social Democrats are adamant that there should be talks at party leader level.
“We will attend the meeting, but we still demand a party leadership meeting given the disclosure. The largest party in the government base is systematically manipulating the democratic conversation and we need to take part in the authorities’ assessment because we are in the middle of an election campaign,” writes Baudin.
