The militants took hundreds of train passengers hostage in Pakistan | Brief news

The separatist organization has warned the “serious consequences” if they are forcibly released by passengers.

Armed militants have been abducted by more than 450 train passengers and wounded a locomotive driver in the southwestern part of Pakistan, the authorities said on Tuesday.

The Separatist Organization Balochistan’s Liberation Army (Bla) said he had blown the track and took over the train in the remote Sibi area.

An anonymous Sibi police source said that the train was stopped at the mouth of the tunnel in a remote mountain area. The area offers a lot of exhaust and hiding places for the guerrillas.

Blans warned of “serious consequences” if they are forcibly released by passengers.

For decades, Pakistan’s security forces have fought against rebel groups in Balochistan. According to militants, the natural resources of the area are deprived and exported elsewhere while the inhabitants of the area live in poverty.
