Next week, American voters will decide how power in Congress will be distributed.

The election is being held as polarization is described as greater than ever in the United States.

The division between Democrats and Republicans may not be clearer than in the small town of Heppner in the conservative part of Oregon. Many residents here do not want anything to do with Democrats – and therefore want the state border to be moved.

Joe Biden promised to unite the people when he won the presidential election two years ago. But for many in the small town, the only solution is a possible comeback for Donald Trump.

– We want the lifestyle we have now and that’s how it’s been in Idaho all along. They have a relaxed attitude towards firearms. In Oregon they keep wanting to take our guns. Everyone out here loves Trump, says Samuel Martin, a car mechanic in the small town.
