To encourage the user to become legal, Microsoft explains on web page dedicated to repentant hackers, the risks of running a pirate version of its suite on a PC: the exposure of the computer to viruses and other malicious software, the probability of obtaining corrupted files or the inability to take advantage of security updates for suite software. To take advantage of the publisher’s offer, you must identify yourself with a Microsoft account. We were not able to take advantage of it. This call of the foot is perhaps for the moment reserved for the American public.

Tempting, Microsoft’s proposal is not the only way to take advantage of a legal and 100% functional version of the Office suite at a more than cheap price. You will benefit from security updates and will of course be able to connect your Microsoft account to them to benefit from the backup in OneDrive, for example. To achieve such prices, licenses are generally purchased in large quantities from companies that change their software or IT stock or that go out of business. It can also obtain OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) licenses whereby versions of Office are installed by default on PCs but not used.
