Eva Wedberg (S), president of Tumba’s S association, announces in a Facebook post that a unanimous board has decided to propose Ebba Östlin for the nomination to KSO:
“Ebba has been KSO for 7 years and has led us through several crises in an exemplary manner. With great energy, the best interests of Botkyrka residents in mind and firmly rooted in social democracy. She received the most votes of all at the last election and for the first time in 30 years we moved forward. At well-attended member meetings in Tumba on 7/12 and 1/2, a large majority of members have expressed continued confidence in Ebba,” writes Eva Wedberg.
Receives support from Norsborg
Earlier, SVT reported that even the local S association in Norsborg, a district in Botkyrka, stands behind Ebba Östlin.
The support comes after the Social Democrats in Botkyrka voted to poke Ebba Östlin, who has been sitting in her seat for several years. The decision has led to an infected battle within the party.
One grouping says that it was about Östlin’s leadership, while those who voted for her instead believe that it is about the criticized closure of several leisure centers run by ABF. It is also alleged that criminals may have influenced the vote.
– We must fundamentally work on this and find out more, the Social Democrats’ party secretary Tobias Baudin has previously told SVT.
SVT is looking for Eva Wedberg for a comment.
